Fitness Center and Playgrounds Remain Closed Until Further Notice
We know everyone is eager to see the neighborhood amenities reopen, but at this time the Fitness Center and Playgrounds remain closed. We are closely following guidance from the CDC and local government and public health officials. We will share updates on additional openings as we have them.
HOA Board Meeting Goes Virtual!
The HOA Board held their first virtual meeting this past week. We were happy to see that a number of residents were able to tune in. They are currently exploring options for other virtual meeting portals and the board may choose to continue with online meetings for the time being. We will share more information as it becomes available.
Community Blood Drive
Due to the tremendous response to our May blood drive, we are adding a second date for donation. Register for an appointment on Tuesday, June 2 from 1:00-5:30 p.m. This blood drive is by appointment only. Please click here to register to donate. Be a Hero. Save someone's life!
Annual Meeting
Our Annual Meeting will be held on June 22, 2020 at 6 p.m. Details about the event will be released soon. The Annual Meeting is also the time for our board election. Read about the candidates on the Resident Tab of the website. We are planning a virtual Meet the Candidates event in the near future. Please submit questions for the candidates here.

Have questions? Know where to look!
Get to know the official sources for information (HOA Website, Weekly Email Blasts, HOA Facebook Page, and the Crest Portal.) These resources are designed to be your first stop when you have an HOA question or would like to share your thoughts. The HOA Board is elected to represent the interests of the community, but in a neighborhood of more than 2600 homes there are lots of different opinions and we know we don't have all the answers. We would love to hear your ideas!
Are you considering a home improvement project? Please make sure to complete an Exterior Modification Request on the Crest Homeowner Portal prior to beginning construction. If you are uncertain if you need to submit an application, please use one of the official sources to ask. The Board responds promptly to emails and messages on the official Facebook page.
If you have a suggestion you think would benefit the community, please reach out. The Board meets monthly and entertains public comments at every business meeting. The more information and detail you can provide, the better. All formal presentations are given consideration. To be added to the agenda, please email the Board. We want to work with you to make the neighborhood somewhere we are all proud to call home.

Why do I need so many website accounts?
We recognize that there may be some confusion about the different website registrations. The HOA website and the Crest Portal serve different functions and are managed by different entities. The HOA website is managed by volunteers of the home owners association and is where you will want to go for the neighborhood calendar, events information, resident news, neighborhood photo album, committee information and much more. The Crest Portal is managed by Crest and is where you go for items that are under Crest's control (deed restrictions, account balances, official legal documents, etc.).
Please take a few minutes to verify that you have both accounts. If you have questions, please email the board for clarification.
Amenities Update
All six (6) tennis courts are now open for use! Please continue to follow guidelines for social distancing (no more than four players per court) and obey all the HOA Tennis Court rules. The restrooms and drinking fountains are not available at this time. Please plan accordingly.
The Fitness Center, Pools, and Playgrounds remain closed until further notice. We will share updates on additional openings as we have them.
Don't be a litter bug
We have noticed a huge spike in the usage of our parks and the MUD trails over the past two months. With this increase in traffic, there has also been an increase in litter. Please be courteous and clean up after yourself and your pets. Let's keep the parks and trails clean for everyone to enjoy.
Home Improvement Projects
We are thrilled that so many of you are taking this time to do home improvement projects, but please remember that our deed restrictions require that you submit an application for Architectural Review prior to beginning construction. You can find the link to the online application on the Crest Portal. The committee reviews applications as quickly as possible, but with the increase in the volume, some are taking up to 30 days to approve. Please plan ahead and submit your application well in advance to avoid delays in construction. And remember to complete the application in full. If you have questions about the process, email the Onsite Property Manager for clarification.

Best Trash Announces Changes in Trash Pickup
Posted on Mar 31st, 2020 Comments (0)
UPDATE FROM BEST TRASH
In response to the continuing effects of the Coronavirus and in observance of our employee's safety, we are asking that all waste be placed in plastic bags and tied off to avoid any direct contact with the garbage.
Trash Services will continue as normal, but we are experiencing an increase in the amount of residential solid waste as a result of residents spending more time at home. Please be patient as we are doing our best to get everyone collected.
Green waste collection will continue; however, we anticipate delays in service. By taking the following steps, residents can help minimize these delays:
*Mulch leaves and grass clippings instead of bagging them for disposal
*Limit the amount of pruning and tree trimming to only what is essential
*If utilizing a landscaping company, ensure all green waste is collected and hauled off by the contractor
Read the announcement from Best Trash.
